Hi, I'm Siran Liu, a visual artist living and working in New York Area.

My works are mainly figurative, in which I create characters and stories as a way to express my feelings and observation to the world we live in.

I carry an equal love and emphasis on the material and craftsmanship in my works as to their concepts and stories, whether it a simple or complex piece. I love to explore the possibilities in different mediums, and find way to compose them together in interesting ways.

I think of my works as visual experiences I created for the viewers, so that they can share some of my perspectives of the world: Things I like; Things I'm worried about; Details that hide in our lives and surroundings which I find intriguing and revealing on the essence of our world but might get ignored by the most others.
